Uninstall PayPackUpdated 18 days ago

Need to remove the PayPack bundle from your NetSuite account? This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to safely uninstall the PayPack SuiteApp to ensure a clean removal from your environment.

Learn where to find the installed bundles, the correct uninstallation procedure, and important considerations before you begin.

Uninstallation Steps

1. Backup Data (Recommended)

  • Before uninstalling, run searches or exports to back up any critical data stored in the custom fields or custom records created by the PayPack bundle. Once the bundle is uninstalled, this data will be permanently deleted.

2. Uninstall the Bundle

  • Navigate to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List.

  • Locate the PayPack bundle in the list.

  • In the Action column, click the dropdown menu for the bundle.

  • Select Uninstall.

  • In the confirmation pop-up, click OK to proceed.

    • NetSuite will process the uninstallation, removing the bundle and its components (including most custom fields and custom records) from your account.

3. Verify Custom Field Deletion

  • After the uninstallation is complete, verify that the custom fields have been deleted, as they are typically removed with the bundle.

    • Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields.

    • Check the relevant sub-menus (e.g., Entity Fields, Item Fields, Transaction Body Fields, etc.) and search for any custom fields with the 'Paypack' prefix or that you know were included in the bundle.

    • If a custom field was part of a locked bundle, it should have been deleted automatically.

4. Manually Delete Non-Bundle Custom Fields (If Necessary)

  • If you find any custom fields related to PayPack that were created manually outside the bundle (or were set to Replace Existing Object during installation), you will need to delete them manually:

    • Go to the list of the relevant custom field type (e.g., Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Entity Fields).

    • Locate the custom field you want to delete.

    • Click Edit.

    • On the Custom Field record, click the Delete button.

    • Note: You will only be able to delete a custom field if it is not referenced by other active system elements (like saved searches, workflows, or scripts) and it has no dependencies. You may need to remove those dependencies first.
